Was in town for a shower and stayed at an Airbnb close to downtown. We went to this shop twice during our stay. Neat shop with all kinds of stuff, local, new, antique. We found goodies each time we went in. Will definitely go back when back in town.

Routinely check up on Tapestri Vintage and the record shop in here. I met the owner of Tapestri today who was just above and beyond amazing. I checked out the Hamtown Mercantile after reading an article about Jon Hartley’s vinyl collection and boutique. Awesome place

This is a must visit store for any of your gift, decor, or clothing needs. Every boutique is unique . I love the charm and atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door. The staff is great and the treats are delicious. There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy.

If you think I've been there done that and you've seen it all, you haven't seen nothing until you walked in this cute little mercantile. This place is special, and fun for everybody. A go to must in Smithfield, and a tchotchke, knick knack paradise.

Lots of cool merchandise that you won't find anywhere else! Shop is clean and well maintained. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to shop!

This store is so cute and has so many cute gift ideas. There is also a cute coffee store inside. From food, to Virginia state items, alcoholic drink mixers, clothing, hats, records and more. A must see!

Omg... if you go to smithfield, go here. Other places to see are the Christmas shop and for eats the Fiddlin Pig. If youre headed down 17 then finish out at A Dodsons. But only if you want a smile on the wifes face! When in the Mercantile, ask Carla for the scoop on all the places to see and eat, when at the Christmas shop ask Jim for the entertainment schedule. At A Dodsons, ask Alison for advice on furnishing, decorating, and things you never thought you'd need.
